MUSIC GIVES US WIIIIINGS!

“Ms. Teacher, where will we fly today? To which country?” said little Zuzka. These are the questions which I love the most:).. Because they transport me to another world! Children always transport me to a faraway dimension of miracles where anything is possible. Children.. they often explore sounds. “And what happens if I press this?”.. Yes sometimes it makes me angry because I want to move on and progress. But children are like that… Full of questions. Full of other worlds. They like to explore the world of sounds, music, the whole world. Sometimes, I have a feeling that we should be learning from them! Explore.

However… sometimes, we pretend to be too important and we like to listen to ourselves, because we play some sort of role which has to be maintained in society. Masks! And gradually, we teach this to children. To behave in one way or another, to not show emotions, to not cry, to not complain, to be disciplined, because many believe that showing emotion is a weakness. The process of exploration is very important even for adult humans. Continuously explore, learn, move on and don‘t stagnate, even though we sometimes feel that we already intimately know everything. All the smells, tastes, … flavours of the whole of life as it is in its essence. Full of paradoxes. Full of colours. Smells. Simply, full of variety.. But no! We are too easily satisfied …….

Because we forget to explore… Things around us spin too fast. Then comes the carousel of obligations.. The situation only occasionally changes – when the body says “enough”. Suddenly – again we are able to explore, listen to ourselves and most importantly… look around us.

Suddenly, we ask – What went wrong? Do we want to live like this? Questions about the meaning of life follow, re-evaluation, analysis, sometimes we really get smashed. We sigh with relief when the tempo slows down and we have a feeling that we are beginning to “live” again…

“And Ms. Teacher, what is actually happiness?” I was asked this question recently,…….

And do you know that I had to think really hard? What is happiness? Well… probably, everybody should answer this for themselves….

For me it is the little things in life, when I find out that children actually give us a lot of questions but also bring answers.

And when the large children eyes stare at me with questions from their magical land …

Sometimes I get to understand many things,…………

That the greatest happiness in life is to perceive tiny glimpses of life and gradually make them into a puzzle…………..

And suddenly it all makes sense,……….

Without question,…………………
